Apple has been busy expanding its business for years. Apple is no longer the company that sells only iPhone, iPad and MacBook models. Last year, Apple purchased rights to a television show based on the popular “Carpool Karaoke” segment in an attempt to release its own original television series. In February this year, the Cupertino Company announced the first trailer for the series. Apple is expected to release “Carpool Karaoke: The Series,” this month on Apple Music, but it seems that we need to wait a little bit longer.
Apple’s ‘Carpool Karaoke’
Apple today announces that the company has delayed the release of its first original television series. In reality, this is not the first time we are seeing Apple push back the launch of Carpool Karaoke’ Series. Last month, the Cupertino Company delayed the premiere party for the series to this week. However, Apple again pushed back the party without no explanation.
According to Apple, the series will launch later this year for Apple Music subscribers, but the company declined to give any explanation regarding the delay. Apple’s Carpool Karaoke’s first season will include 16 episodes worth 30-minutes long. It will be available exclusively on Apple Music. Tech analysts say that the series serves as Apple’s strategic plan to attract more Apple Music subscribers and compete directly with other music streaming services out there. Apple’s music service now has more than 20 paying subscribers worldwide and has its footprint in over 100 countries.
Aside from Carpool Karaoke series, Apple has been working on a number of projects. Specifically, the Cupertino Company is planning to release Planet of the Apps, a new TV show about apps and the people who make them. The TV show will serves as a perfect tool to promote the Apple Store. Besides, Apple is also in the middle of developing “Vital Signs”, a dark semi-autobiographical drama.
