Apple iPhone 8 is the most anticipated smartphone this year. Apple is undoubtedly planning something special to celebrate ten years of iPhone later this year. Most rumors have suggested that Apple will unveil three iPhone models this year including a premium model. The high-end iPhone model has long been rumored to be the first iPhone to feature OLED display, paving the way for future iPhone models with OLED displays.
According to the latest sources, the upcoming iPhone 8 will come in four color choices at launch, including a new mirror-like model. In reality, the mirror-glass design is not something new when it comes to Apple products. The Cupertino Company once used the same design on its old iPod models.
Analysts Ming-Chi-Kuo, who is best known for his accurate forecasts when it comes to Apple products, says that the premium iPhone 8 will come in fewer color options than its previous models in an attempt to create a unique high-end device that stands out on the market. It remains unclear if Apple will announce a premium iPhone 8 with Jet Black color option. Last year, the Jet Black iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were sold out within minutes after pre-orders went online.
Tech analysts say that this year’s iPhone models will still be available in gold and rose gold options thanks to high demand. Some recent reports say that the iPhone 8 will drop fingerprint scanner for face recognition. Apple is still struggling to integrate the Touch ID underneath the OLED display of the iPhone 8. This forces the company opt for a different unlock method.
While at one point it was rumored that the iPhone 8 could feature the fingerprint scanner at the rear of the phone. However, tech analysts say that Apple doesn’t want to make the same mistake as Samsung made this year. The South Korean’s decision to move the fingerprint scanner to the back of the Galaxy S8 has been met with a lot of controversy.
