Apple and Nike has been in a long-standing relationship. Last year, Apple introduced Apple Watch Nike+, the perfect tool for those who run. In April this year, the long-standing partnership continued with the release of Apple Watch NikeLab style. Basically, the NikeLab version combines a Space Gray Apple Watch Series 2 and Nike bands. All in one complete piece for a $369 price tag.
Apple Watch Sport Bands
Sportswear giant Nike today announced four new Apple Watch bands that will match with the company’s Air VaporMax Flyknit. Nike’s move aims to promote its new “Day to Night” collection of Air VaporMax Flyknit shoes, which will launch next week. According to Nike, this is the first time Apple Watch owners can match their wearable devices with Nike-branded sneakers.
Nike says that the collection comes with four new Nike sport bands we have never seen before including two shades of blue and two shades of pink/violet. Like Nike’s current Apple Watch bands, these four new bands sport a perforated design for sweat management.
The sportswear giant claims that the new Apple Watch bands will be ready for purchase alongside the company’s new collection of Air VaporMax Flyknit shoes on June 1. Users can get a new Nike Sport band for $49 from Nike’s official website and in select Nike Stores. Besides, the new bands will be also available in Apple retail stores, authorized sellers and on Apple.com.
As mentioned above, in April, Apple announced Apple Watch NikeLab, the first Apple Watch that’s not available in Apple retail stores and from Apple website. The Apple Watch NikeLab features what we loved about its predecessors including Siri commands, GPS, bright display and deep integration with the Nike+ Run Club app. Apple is expected to release the third-generation Apple Watch later this year. Rumors say that Apple Watch Series 3 may feature cellular connectivity.
