Apple Watch is one of the most desired smartwatches out there. Apple never stops rolling out software updates to its Apple Watch to expand its usefulness just beyond being able to show time/date, set reminders or make phone calls.
With the release of watchOS 3.2, Apple introduced a brand new feature called Theater Mode. Basically, once enabled, the new mode puts your wearable device into silent mode and turns off “Raise to Wake” feature. This prevents your Apple Watch from lighting up every time you move your hand around. However, you will still be able to access notifications and get haptic feedback.
In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to activate Theater Mode on your Apple Watch. Before we proceed, make sure that you are now running watchOS 3.2.
Steps to enable and use Theater Mode on your Apple Watch
Step one: First off, you need to open Control Center on your Apple Watch. To do this, you simply need to swipe up from the watch face to proceed
Step two: Next up, you will notice that there is a new icon that shows a pair of theater masks. That’s Theater Mode. When you tap on that icon, you will access a new screen showing what Theater Mode does
Step three: Once Theater Mode is active, the icon turns yellow in the Control Center. You will also see a yellow mask icon at the top of your watch face. This indicates that Theater Mode is now enabled on your Apple Watch. If you want to wake up your screen, you now need to press the side button or the Digital Crown
Steps to turn off Theater Mode on your Apple Watch
If you find Theater Mode annoying, you can easily turn it off. Here is how you can do that.
Step one: Swipe up from the watch face to bring up Control Center
Step two: Next up, you now simply need to tap on the mask icon to turn off Theater Mode.
